Anantnag police along with civil administration holds counselling session for youth who got amnesty | KNO

Srinagar, December 28 (KNO) : District Police Anantnag along with Civil Administration organized a counseling session for youth of District Anantnag who were given Amnesty by Government of J&K in stone pelting activities at Dak Bungalow Anantnag. Besides DIG SKR Anantnag Shri Swayam Prakesh Pani, DC Anantnag Shri Mohammad Younis, SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan and other seniors officers of Police/Civil Administration, a good number of individuals along with their parents and some prominent citizens participated The session was aimed to build an understanding to find ways and means to prevent recurrence of violent incidents in future and to develop confidence among the youth. During the session a patient hearing was given to the participants. Most of the boys were of the opinion that getting involved in stone pelting on their part inflicts irrepressible damage to the social fabric, which is not good to anybody but creates chaos and anarchy only. SSP Anantnag while deliberating on the occasion urged the youth to concentrate on their career and work hard to make up the loss they suffered in their education from past years. The youth were advised not to fall prey to propaganda of vested interests who exploit them for their personal gains instead they should channelize their energy in constructive and positive pursuits to contribute in the welfare of the society. On the occasion the youth were made aware about the various schemes run by the government for skill development and employment generation to engage youth for earning their livelihood to make their life prosperous. Prominent citizen of the town who spoke on the occasion appreciated the initiative of the Anantnag police and urged that exploitation of the youth needs to be stopped.(KNO)
